This is Valley Drive near Water Works Park in Des Moines on Friday. Rain continued over the weekend and now Fleur Drive, a main artery into downtown Des Moines and adjacent to Water Works Park, is closed due to the flooding of the Raccoon River.

This is Parkersburg, Iowa the Monday after the Level 5 tornado that devastated the town on Memorial Sunday. Heavy rain over last weekend added to the survivors misery as many had to be evacuated due to flooding.
