Failing to link 9/11 to Iraq.... President Bush crusades on the idea of a "Third Awakening" to justify the war.
He told a group of conservative journalists.... who else.... that the war is a confrontation "between good and evil..... I think there's change happening here.... it seems to me that there's a Third Awakening." (WaPo)
Oh, he is so right. But voters may see good and evil a little differently. Osama evil.... but still running loose. Allies good.... but not many in sight.
The First Great Awakening occurred in the mid-1700s, the Second Great Awakening in the early 1800, the Third Awakening will be this November.
